I knew about Barbie massacre for a couple months now, but tonight I’ve decided it’s worth of a little more coverage for various reasons - one of the most important being that I have a feeling that the owner (and part time Barbie murder mastermind) of the website is a woman (I guess it’s not that hard to tell, her email address is catgalx@gmail.com and her friends’ names are Jesse, Melissa, Catherine, Crystal, Kiraney, and Sarah-hey ladies). Now, my point is: a guy torturing half naked Barbie dolls and then taking pictures of them is not really a big deal, hell, Ted Bundy did the same to women and we’re still not that impressed, we’re quite aware that there are many mentally challenged male characters out there, but, a woman with these habits puts everyone in a ocean of confusion and we’d like to know if she’s a female-psycho or just a girl with an unusual sense of humor and maybe many more other things. So … I’ve taken the liberty of addressing the following email to this original artist:
Hello, my name is Ted and I am kind of a fan of your art displayed on http://barbiecrimescenes.blogspot.com , which I have decided to promote a little bit on my newest blog www.tedsgame.com .
Also, if you wouldn’t mind I would like to ask you a few questions about this rather unusual form of art:
How many Barbie and Ken sets have you used for your numerous scenes of gore?
Do you find it funny or do you feel some sort of pain relief when you make the poor inanimate doll literally spill her guts out?
How long does it take to set up a scene?
Do you have a boyfriend?
Thank you in advance for your patience and I am hoping for a reply.
Sincerely, Ted.
I agree that this person may be a bit on the strange side, but why, ted, do I seem to smell sexism? Is it acceptable in your mind for a man to do this because men are naturally vulgar creatures? But then, such an act is unjustifiable for a woman because we are meant to be calm, maternal, urbane characters? Just wondering…
Why, dear H, not only calm, maternal and urbane characters but maybe also non-aggressive, submissive and inclined towards construction rather than destruction… kinda thing
Clearly, you dont know as much about women as you think you do
I did not claim the contrary Steph, but I guess that’s probably because women are never what they appear to be?
and men are? please, dont humour me.
Oh yes they are pretty straight forward, you must have noticed that before
ive noticed many things, appropriate male straight forwardness is not one of them
Yes, Ted, I hate to break it to you but you have quite a bit to learn on this forefront…
My dear H and my beloved Steph ( nice name by the way ), this is starting to look like a sexist fight, wich i would usualy enjoy but hey, it’s not that kind of place.
Most people do fall into psychological categories. That applies to both men and women without a doubt, so, as harsh as it may seem, we actually can take people, after analising them, and thow them in proverbial buckets.
There are about 16 general male profiles and about 16 general female profiles. Most male profiles have a tendency to be straight forward and sencere, usualy getting hurt or screwed in the process.
The reason you probably don’t know that the majority of the male population is straight forward and sencere is because you look at the minority of the male population. The jerks, the one that lie and cheat and treat you like dird, the ones you can’t resist. So who’s a sexist afterall? Ted, who tried not be sexist but just judging differently concerning the different types of characters males and females have or you who simply generalised and threw all men in one bucket by judging on a mear personal feeling twards ONE category of men?
Sorry about the long comment but i simply have to differ.
P.S. I have to mention that i am a mear begginer in the arts of psychology and the things i said appear in psychology books and i did not invent them.
Well pointed!
Dearest ‘Alfa Male’, call me crazy but “women are never what they appear to be” seems rather sexist to me, and while none of us are objective (clearly) i think it is obvious that both sexes have their pros and cons, and evidently neither sees the other as clearly as they would like to believe they do. however, this discussion began with the remark that it was concerning for a woman to do this, and while Ted is perfectly entitled to think that, i simply say that a woman should be free to do whatever she pleases (providing no harm befalls others) without being judged not on the action alone but on the action based on the fact that she is female (as should a man). it seems clear to me that while todays world is more advanced in terms of equality, the need to fight is still there, on the front of breaking both gender-based stereotypes.
Hey Ted, go to the barbie site again, and go almost to the bottom… you will see a picture of someone STABBING a barbie. After closely inspecting the picture it will become apparent that the stabber is, in fact, NOT a woman…. but a MAN. Thus, I must conclude, that half of your post is illegitimately supported by this site!
Oh wow, good observation H, but you don’t know for sure if those are not really ugly woman hands. I mean, which guy makes a website with the help of his six female friends: Jesse, Melissa, Catherine, Crystal, Kiraney, and Sarah? Unless he’s non-heterosexual;)
Those are definitely man hands… and plus, when spelled J.E.S.S.E., the name is for a male. The female version is spelled Jessie. I rest my case and am still convinced that that is a man.
q.e.d - She has a point you know.
Yeah, she might. blah.
Hello! Jesse here! I am a woman who spells her name Jesse
And those are not my hands BUT they are womens hands!!! All women participated in this event!!
@Jesse : THANK YOU! Which proves that I am always right YAY
There is nothing more fun, then playing Barbie with your all your girl friends! Thanks Ted!!
How many Barbie and Ken sets have you used for your numerous scenes of gore?
In total - we used about 40 Barbie/Ken dolls for about 15 completed scenes
Do you find it funny or do you feel some sort of pain relief when you make the poor inanimate doll literally spill her guts out?
We find it funny! Can’t speak for the rest of the girls!
How long does it take to set up a scene?
3 months of Saturdays to set up all the scenes
Do you have a boyfriend?
Is this information REALLY necessary??? 4 married, 2 single gals
Thanks Ted for supporting our art!! Look for future additions
Hey Ted,
this is Catherine. So sorry I’ve missed your message somewhere along the way.
I assure you that the group of girls involved in the barbie massacre are all of sound mind and body. Loving, happy people who share a slight fascination for the macabre. We just wanted to make the best Halloween decorations ever!
The entire process evolved rather organically, not at all “pre-meditated” (haha), we simply were cutting hair and dismembering, like any 7 year old would do. This simply morphed into a desire to create more elaborate and unique crime scenes.
I believe the crime scene making consisted of about 5 or 6 Saturday afternoons leading up to Halloween.
…and then we all became obsessed! It was basically our version of “stitch and bitch”, doll murder style.
I would also like to point out that we all are well-adjusted ladies who aren’t trying to make a statement about misogyny here, but rather some gruesome holiday decorations.
Thanks for your interest and curiosity!
Cheers,
~Catherine
melissa, and jesse are liars. they are two of the sickest, most twisted women that i have ever known. especially melissa. what is true is that to look at either of them you would never guess that behind their kind and loving smiles, lies the purest and darkest of evils. lets all thank them for acting out their sadistic fantasies on these poor beloved barbie dolls, and not on one of us. as for the rest of the women involved i can not personally say what their true natures are as i do not know them. but if they are friends of melissa and jesse, my guess is that they are just as deranged.
Amanantha you know Crystal and Jesse’s not deranged. I mean how could a church girl be sick and sadistic? As for me how dare you say that I have a kind and loving smile!!!
All yee who are interested, check out a never before seen scene and pictures of what happened before the crimes occurred, check it out at barbiecrimescenes.blogspot.com
So I know this was written months ago, but I must add:
A woman torturing Barbies is not at all unusual. All little girls do it.
